Natural gas containers for transportation
ADR-approved CNG and biogas transport containers built around UMOE type-4 composite cylinders — engineered for the road, certified to EN 12245.
The product
Multi Element Gas Containers for CNG, biogas, and beyond
Gaznet supplies state-of-the-art mobile storage solutions for CNG, biogas, and hydrogen transportation. Our containers are built in partnership with UMOE Advanced Composite — a leader in composite cylinder technology — which means every container we ship carries field-proven performance, reliability, and safety credentials.
We produce the Multi Element Gas Container (MEGC) for CNG and hydrogen transport and storage. Read more about MEGC and our partnership with UMOE.

Type-4 ultra-lightweight cylinders
Our natural gas transport containers use a plastic liner with stainless steel end fittings, wrapped in high-strength fibreglass and epoxy resin. Type-4 construction eliminates corrosion problems — including galvanic corrosion — and significantly reduces lifecycle costs while preserving safety margin and service life.
The cylinders are tested with a safety factor of 3.2–3.4. They’re designed for 250 bar operating pressure with a burst pressure of 840 bar or higher, certified per EN 12245 — and far exceed the standard’s requirements on defect testing, impact tests, and fire tests.
Pressure
200–250 bar

Safety, certifications, and design
Transporting and storing flammable gas at high pressure is unforgiving — so we engineer every container to fail safely under fire, fatigue, stress, and impact testing. The fibreglass cylinder material and the structural design of the container work together.
External impact protection
Steel or aluminium sidewalls protect the cylinders from external impact during haulage and handling.
ADR / TPED certified
Designed, calculated, and tested per ADR (dangerous-goods transport). All type-approval tests carried out jointly with DNV-GL, certified per TPED / ADR.
Fire test margin
Cylinders exceed fire-test requirements by 8× — operators can choose to fit overpressure / heat-release devices or rely on the cylinder’s own margin.
Why composite over steel?
Composite materials offer non-corrosive properties, wide temperature tolerance (-40 °C to +65 °C), high-strength fatigue durability, enhanced safety, and an extended service life in harsh and hazardous environments. Versus steel, our containers deliver up to a 70% weight reduction at the cylinder level.
Stationary storage, too
Type-4 cylinders also fit stationary CNG storage solutions designed for pressures up to 250 bar — in different configurations depending on volume and footprint. See our full product range.
